President's Letter 2010
Dear friends of Football and Cheer Leading: Welcome to Randolph/Holbrook Blue Devil website.
I am Les Neil your president for this year and the season of 2010. I am pleased to be a part of this program and grateful to be chosen for the position for another year. I welcome you all to the Randolph/Holbrook Pop Warner (RHPW) football and cheering family.
We are a volunteer organization whose goal it is to serve the children of the Randolph and Holbrook communities with a structured athletic program. We strive to provide those children who take part with leadership and encouragement to achieve academic and athletic excellence. Our Executive Board is volunteers who work diligently to provide you with the services needed to help the participants in pursuit of the program goals. We cater to participants of ages 7 to 15. Last year we had about 180 participants.
Our world is a place of change and challenge as evidenced by the economy, the internet, the environment and events like the tragedy in Haiti that touches us all in some form or another. Our mission is to promote the general welfare, health and education of the youth of our community by providing a safe, structured and properly supervised athletic program.
We try to develop the principles of good sportsmanship, adherence to the rules that govern our sport and teach the values of respect for themselves, community and individuals. In accordance with our academic program through Little Scholars we provide scholarships for qualified high school graduates and we also participate in the National Scholarship Awards through the National Little Scholars Committee. We have had members place in top ranks nationally.
Within our website: www.rhpwfootball.com, you will find most of the information needed to educate and inform you on our program and provide links to other league-related activities and websites. Please feel free to navigate around the site. Coming this year will be online registration! We strive to keep you up to date with the site and ask your patience as we continue to improve. As mentioned we are a volunteer organization and as such need as much help as we can find to continue to make good things happen for our kids. I would encourage you to volunteer and help our kids through giving of your time. We're not asking for a lot and the reward is being a part of a child's sporting experience through your help.
Sincerely, Les Neil President RHPWO - 2010
